My friend tried to start my car and the first thing he said is that it sounds like its firing incorrectly, either timing marks are off (slipped timing belt) or bad cas. Got it home, i checked the timing marks, dead on. took the cas off turned the thing, i heard what sounded like the fuel pump and clicking or somthing near the injectors. So im assuming its good. but ive checked numerous things. my other friend told me that my car was never timed, could this mean that my cas is bad but its showing signs that its good? Could it have just eventually thrown my timing off?
I have spark. I have fuel im assuming because my spark plugs are wet after every crank.
im out of ideas, i dont know any one with a known good cas, i really dont want to blow 400 dollars on a shot in the dark.
Please I really need to get this thing on the road again.
Any ideas. Please help.

Ok so I just got a 12v buzzer to run my cel codes, but all it does is beep continuously. My car still doesnt start. Im beginning to think my car is doomed. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

Yes it does come on for about 5 sec then shuts off. Ive tried a couple different ecu's with no luck, none off them smelled funny or anything.

did you check your firing order? and you can't pull codes unless the car is running, the sensors wouldn't be sending information at that point. also check plugs wires and coil pack.

Does it beep on and off continuously or on continuously?

You can pull the codes, if there are any, whenever the ignition is on. The car doesn't have to be running.

If your plugs are wet check the wires to the engine coolant temp sensor.

The buzzer does stay on and beep continuously. Kinda dissapointing cause the cel did get triggered before my car took a crap. Will check engine coolant temp sensor. Thanks.

Sounds like the ECU is sending out it's heartbeat (on off repeating) like it should when it doesn't have any active errors to output. Doesn't mean the ECU is blaimless but it does mean that it's not dead.

I don't have any other ideas ATM, not enough sleep last night to think clearly.

Is there any way that the ecu or the cas can go out slowly, because I was driving it for about a week while it started runnin funny?

Well I bought a new cas, but still no start. It sounds like it wants to start. It also sounds like its cranking really fast. Does anyone have any ideas on why it would be cranking fast?

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. When I check for spark, it looks like they fire randomly, Shouldnt they fire two at a time, like 2 3 cyl. fire, then 1 4 cyl. fire? could this random fire be what keeping my car from starting? Someone please correct me if im wrong.
