ok so whenever i get to about 4k rpms or higher my car seems to want to stop accelerating and just kinds sputters and shakes really bad and seems to misfire. also when driving at highway speeds or sustaining any gear around 3000 rpms my car will start to misfire until it goes under 2k rpms again. any input would be nice to have and i am not hitting full boost by the way but i cant completely tell being as i cant get into a range where i would hit full boost.

I would take the car down to a auto parts store and have them run a diagnostics check to see if the car spits out any codes.. Most places do it for free or next to free... I'm gonna guess you're car has a faulty knock sensor... But then again.. Nothing would supprise me on a DSM...

TTT any opinions would help a ton

my 1g had the same symptom as yours, it turned out i had a huge crack on the bottom of my exh manifold. though your car is a 2g, its still a possibility. try to get a small make up thingy from your mom or gf and use that, thats what i did. put it under your manifold between each manifold runner and look for cracks on the bottom. even if the crack is minimal, you WILL LEAK BOOST.

1. Run a boost leak test

2. Replace your plugs, they are cheap and it can't hurt (NGK brp6es)

3. Check your spark plug wires for any crack and signs of arching.

Stuttering is usually caused by the spark plugs being bad or gapped wrong.

If I were you I'd replace the injectors and the wires. My best friends car was sputtering just like yours and all it needed was a fresh set of injectors.
