car sputters and jumps

my 97 gst spyder well boost just fine till you put 100% throttle and it hits about 3500 rpm and then its starts jumping and sputtering.the only thing i can think of is a boost leak but i have no car sense so i dont know how to test also i was thinking adjusting my BOV to hard.i have a Greddy BOV, any help at all would be nice i need baby steps i dont know that much about cars thanks

What's the gap on your spark plugs? Could you be blowing out your spark?

Check plugs and wires as well like mentioned above.

what are the mods on your car? have you done any thing to the fuel system i.e. afc, vpc, maft? have you changed injectors or are they diffrent from the stock ones? have you done any thing to the mass air? my car did the same thing, as long as I wasnt at full throttle it was fine the minute I stomped on it it it would buck and sputter. it turned out that the chip in my vpc was wrong. also when I had the maft it did the same thing, little did I know that it doesnt come set up for stock injectors (i should have read the directions sooner). from my experiance any thing done to the air flow and fuel can have that affect. it does act like a vac leak but when your in the boost that wont make the car buck or sputter.

I had the exact same problem with my car. I wouldn't say it's a boost leak just yet. It quite possibly could be but my problem dealt with the ignition. My car would pull fine and then about 4k-5k it would almost "buck" and "sputter". I had to timing fixed and that fixed the problem immediately.

ok my car is doin the same thing... i think i blew the seals on my turbo since it was smokeing. but my plugs were fouled from the oil... now i cleaned them and its a lil better but if i push the the throttle slowly itll revv till about 4500 then start to sputter or miss fire. i think thats when the t-25 is spooling a lil and thats where my seals leak and the car runs like shit. if i stomp on the gas right away i hear the turbo spool a lil and it sputters. as long as im not putting load on the turbo its fine. idles fine and everythign. does that mean its the turbo or could that be something else. ive checked every vacume line and every hose on the intake and there all good now. however i did have a few vacume leaks that i fixed and it still does it... IM LOST!!

I just fixed mine this weekend. I changed plugs and that made it a little better but it still sputtered under boost. Picked up a new set of wires and that cured the problem totally. Now I have a set of stock wires in place of my magnecores.
