All of my mods are in my profile.

I recently installed the FMIC, and 550cc injectors. I homebrewed all of my IC piping, with 2.5" mandrel bends, and a cottony radiator hose from Napa for couplers. My BOV is recirculated.

My AFC is still completely zero'ed out which I know can make the car bog, but mine sputters constantly. Not under full throttle, or even part throttle. Unless it's sitting at idle, the car jerks and sputters, and I already blew off one coupler, which I put back on in an extremely hot parking lot. :thumbdown

Is this fuel related, or a boost leak? My injectors aren't leaking or anything, and due to the way the car is running, I feel that it's a boost leak. I checked the couplers, and everything seems tight.

Any ideas, or things to check? I need to get the car running ASAP, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

You should do a boost leak test that will tell you if it is a boost leak. If you read Ryanjay21's post sound like it's running on three cylinders well we got it figured out one of the injector clips wasn't on all the way. We clipped it on and now it runs great. It just sounds sort of similar to what your is doing.

Well, I remembered today that my 1G turbo outlet pipe (only temporary, don't worry) had a tiny bend in the flange, and I tried to help that with a gasket. This time around (when I put it back on along with the FMIC) I didn't use a gasket, so I figured it'd take it off to see just how much the pipe could be leaking.

I used a small rubber adapter to make the pipe work with a coupler. When I removed the pipe, the adapter was missing, apparently eaten by my car. I found it near the inlet of the intercooler.

I'm thinking that this clog, along with the possible boost leak from the slight bend, could have caused the sever bogging.

It isn't back together yet, because I need one more coupler, but I'm hoping this cures the problem.

I'd set the base settings on the AFC for 550 injectors...assuming you havent' already. As for the restriction, I would bet it would caust it to sputter. While you have the IC off the car, clean it out. I noticed a good increase in timing when I cleaned all the oil out of mine.
