Hey DSMer's i have a problem that i would love to get fixed.when i drive my everything is fine and smooth but sometimes when i stop at a light notice i say sometimes the idle goes below 1 and the car boggs then it shuts off. All my tubes are in i don't vent to the atomosphere so it can't be that, and sometimes all the dash check lights does come on dimly and go off but it does not affect driving it just comes on dimly. could anyone tell me what is wrong anything would be greatly appreciated thank you

This may have nothing to do with your vaccuum hoses. If you haven't done it already, check your rotor and cap. My car did the same thing and it was my cap that had a little crack in it and when I slowed down, it would get just far enough from the rotor to make the cae die. The reason all your check lights are coming on dimly is because the car is about to die. The other thing to check is your idle screw to make sure it hasn't moved on it's own lately, it's right by your throttle body and you can adjust it with a flat head screwdriver. Try and keep it around 1k or a little below, I think most DSM manuals say something about 850 or so.

Uhh...

Turbo DSMs don't have distributors.

it could be many things...injectors not properly alligned....coilpack....wires or spark plugs going bad...vaccum lines...worst case scenario it might be your mas sensor

Well people tell me it could be my altenator starting to give up.Like today i drove it and it was fine it's just sometimes when like i run it hard on the highway when i stop at the stoplight it boggs and sometimes even cuts out.hey i did remove the honeycomb and silencer from the MAF could that be it too,but i'm just going to change spark plugs and wires and clean out my injectors. Thanks for the feedback anymore help is greatly appreciated:dsm: :thumb:

yes it might just be the honeycomb removing mod that could be shutting your car off .... maybe its time for you to start getting some fuel tuning devices like safc 2 or a datalogger ....?????
