Hello everyone, I'm new to the Mitsubishi world as I just got a 1995 Eclipse GS-T a couple days ago. I am very excited about it, but it is having a few problems. My idle is very rough, "idle surge" I believe, and my IAC is not passing the test. My readings are 36.5/35.6/35.6/0.00. These were my readings on each of my three testing trials. Now, not only is my car idleing horribly, but it tends to die at stops, even though the idle is jumping between 1000-2000, should this be happening? That is problem one. Problem two would be that my acceleration is horrible, not something I expected out of a GS-T, so I'm thinking there must be a problem with it also. Could this be a result of such a bad idle also? Some mechanic was telling me that he "believes" that my timing is off, maybe the belt skipped a tooth, which threw off my cam, does this sound right? I'm skeptical because at higher speeds the car runs great, I think he just wants a few hours to take the timing cover off and look at it. Now, I know I'm a Newbie, and I'm gonna hear, use the "search" button, this topic has been discussed many times, and I have, that's where I learned how to test the IAC/ICS, but I just wanted answers to my specific questions. Thanks everyone
