Ive looked through a ton of threads about issues similar to what my car is doing but none that do exactly what mine is doing. Hopefully posting my own thread will help.

OK here we go...

Car runs great at idle. Sitting right about 750 to 800 rpm. Runs great under engine power either under low load or wot. The second the turbo starts to boost on wot or when it hits about 4k rpm on low load it just shudders and dumps as though it hit a massive fuel cut. One of my friends said it feels as though I'm getting sucked backwards... Almost feels like the turbo is choking the engine to the point of where i have much less power than just engine power.

What i have tried so far...
Boost leak test 3 times, new spark plugs and wires, compression checked. The car only had 48k miles on it. I'm stumped.... please help. :banghead:

Stock turbo setup, Only mods are cold air and a 3" exhaust.

My car did the same thing when i first put in my Chipped ECU. Turned out that the ECU was programmed for the setup that the guy i bought it from had.(bigger injectors ect ect ect) Idk if this could help you or not but its worth looking at.

Definatly agree with your quote. Check your ecu and don't wot until you fix the problem. You might be running real lean under wot.

Well man, i told you about though 2g bovs ;) Good luck on the intercooler kit, i went to put mine in and ALL of the bolts broke as i took them off.... throttle body is also a wonderful thing to clean! good luck, tell me how it goes!

Yea i just read the whole 14 page thread on the fmic and alot of people complained about it. Either way i go i might just go buy some better ones if i have to. Ill be on here asap. I don't think the fmic will work with my stock turbo so itll be sitting for a little while till i get my evo3 16g. But as always patience is a virtue :)

mine is doing the exact same thing as yours but it overheats on the freeway, on the street its perfectly fine, my car is all stock. I already replaced the spark plugs(.028 gap), fuel filter, thermostat and i have coil on plug setup wired the right way. im stumped. ima check the color of the spark plugs right now.
