I have a 1997 Tsi awd with a 16g turbo and I'm pushing 21psi. My car likes to buck when under boost at high rpms. It feels like a fuel cut? I think it has to be my tps. not 100% positive.

Please be more specific about rpms, bucking, and tell what your mods are.

It sounds to me like you may want to check your plugs and regap them to around .025 or so. If you gapped them at .028 or higher and running that kind of boost, odds are, the gap is burned open a little bit and straining your ignition system and will skip at higher rpms under boost. Since you are running a 2g, your sensor is good for supporting the flow and unless you have a gaping whole in your intake tract, it is more than likely, your plug gap or not having a good connection with the wires themselves.

This is an easy step to make sure it is not something more involved. Fuel cut and bucking are very different.

Also, I run a 16g on my car at around 20 psi as well and had to do this myself. Car runs well now.

Not the best tuner here but sounds like fuel system. Possible not enough fuel. I have that problem too but it's because I'm running stock 2g fuel pump with a 1g turbo. Any time I turn up the boost to around 16 psi and start to build boost, it would act if it was a fuel cut off. Right when it builds boost it would buckle really hard. Pretty scary sh!t. So down comes the boost. LOL. Give that a try. Lower your boost and see if it still act the same, if not, there your problem. But yea, like the other posting, you need to be more specific about your supporting mods.

running a 16g at 20 psi on 2g fuel system is basically asking for a rebuild or worse

According to his profile, you are correct, he is going to burn up the engine doing this. A 2g stock fuel system will not be able to supply enough fuel to run 20+psi without running lean especially with stock injectors. Meltdown waiting to happen.

Try a tuning device! Some 550 injectors and a 255 wally. An AFPR couldn't hurt either. 21psi with a stock fuel system and no tuning devices is a sure fire way to blow up stuff. Just some suggestions.:thumb:
