car is rolling?

i have this problem, possibly with my hydraulic system which was installed a few weeks ago. i can put my car in first gear and let go of the clutch without giving it gas and it'll engage and start rolling? and when i'd try it in 2nd or 3rd gear, my car will just die, so this only happens when im in first gear. do i need to adjust my clutch? it is engaging about 2.5" off the floor. there was about an inch of freeplay on top, but now the freeplay seemed to increase a bit. so maybe its a problem with my hydraulic system, and also my master cylinder is leaking, but my clutch fluid isnt decreasing at all which is leaving me stumped. thanx in advance

Wait... so, it rolls with the clutch engaged or disengaged?

If it rolls with the clutch "disengaged" then it's not disengaging al the way; re-bleed the system and adjust the rod if necessary.

This should probably be in problem diagnostics.

while im in 1st gear with the clutch pedal down, i can let go of the pedal without giving the car any gas and the car will start moving.

i might try to bleed and adjust the clutch tomorrow and see if that helps any along with the pressure lost that i get with the clutch pedal.

what are your rpms at idle. usally you can let the clutch out real slow and it will start to roll only in 1st.

my rpms is around 750-850 during idle.

so is this a common thing? im just afraid there might be something wrong.
