Car hesitated when let off gas?

Driving in 3rd I was trying to stay out of boost for quite a few reasons none being a mechanical problem just boost tends to put me quite higher then the speed limit .

Anyway I wasn't paying attention on the way home and heard the turbo start spooling up so I left off the gas a bit and the car seemed to buck a little, I tested it again by spooling turbo and letting off but couldn't replicate it.

Now I am thinking its nothing but if its something drivetrain related (AWD system) that I can nip in the bud I might as well ask.

I wouldn't sweat it if you can't duplicate the problem. It was probably just the way you happened to get out of the throttle that particular time. If it doesn't continually do it, I wouldn't worry about it. Most likely it was just a little hiccup in the engine and not a drivetrain issue.

Yeah, like he said, weird things happen with these cars every once in a while, it's normal. If it keeps doing it do a boost leak test.

Do you have a BOV with the stock air flow sensor?

Mine does the same thing more often, almost every other day I always assumed it was a drivetrain issue as well bet since like you I can never replicate it right after I never worry about it

If your not recirculating the charged air then the air flow sensor is getting incorrect readings and throwing to much fuel into the engine everytime you purge to atmosphere.
