I just got it back together after replacing the head and adding some performance parts. after the first start it ran for a while and it started to heat up real quick.
This wouldn't be a problem but it goes past the last white notch and heads for the h for hot. I don't think it should be running this hot. (The coolant also gets hot but not as bad as the oil).
Do i need a new thermostat?
Thanks

Then you apply conversions based off of the extention or any other tool you may be using.
I didn't guess on anything.. Its that i didn't use a torque wrench the first time and was also given wrong info. Was told 50 ft lbs when in fact i do 78-80 ft lbs. So i did what i thought was 50 and then found out 80 and then i drove it anyways and overheated cause it had already messed with the head gasket on start up at 50 lbs of torque..
