Ok from the prices i've found theres no way a person could do a complete build for 2 grand.......which sites you use ### honestly I wanna know!

You are looking at around:

750 for pistons, rods, and rings
50 for bearings
100 for an oil pump
100 for gaskets
40 for water pump
100 for timing belt and components
80 for arp head studs

You are looking at around 1100-1200 for parts, this is assuming that you are running stock cams and springs in the head.

For machine work you are looking at:

40-80 for bore and hone
30-50 to clean
40-60 to deck
150-200 to surface head and do valve job
100-150 to balance

You are now in the 450-600 dollar range in machine work with the 1200 in parts for a total of 1800 with parts and machine work.

Yeah but whatabout aftermarket cams springs retainers valvescam gears parts alone for a performance head is in the 1200 dollar range I've priced already and that's not including head work.
