Ok so ive had my gsx for like 3 days now, and i cant figure out why its bogging. It is fin up untill about 3k under boost but after 3k till about 5k it has a bog. From 5k to redline its is fine and pulls hard. WHy does it bog just in the lower rpm range? Also if i stay at about 10psi its fine but when i floor it to go on up to about 12 it does it untill past 5k. could it be trying to pull to much boost? The boost gauge kinda bounces at around the 12-13 psi mark could it be set alittle too high? How exactly do I adjust it right? Just turn the screw and then rev it up to see what it boost up too?

ok so i need to make a boost leak test, but why would it not pull good in the 3K-5K range and after that pull like its supposed to?, I got in it today and pulled it hard through the gears and it was fine didnt bog.....

sorry 92boosted, for this guy "irrational" that clearly is a dsmtuners noob, and has not gotten through to reading the policies, but anyways,

well, First thing. I would recommend you do, if you havent, is change your spark plugs and plug wires, this is a big cause for running like complete and total crap, ive found with a new set of plugs and wires my car ran 30-40% cleaner.

I would go with a nice set of stock wires and stock plugs, no need for any special at this point. I have small but decent amount of ugrades, and i am still using stock plug wires.

You can make a boost leak tester here. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html

After that is taken care of, and theres no boost leaks, and your problem still continues, you can buy a timing gun, and check the timing in your car, i had the same problem where it would be fine till i hit full boost and my boost guage needle would be jumping all over the place. Im not saying this is a huge problem with dsm's, But it is just one problem that i have had, and i redid my timing and my problem was fixed. Here is 2 links you can refer to for trying this. http://vfaq.com/mods/wayback/BradBauer/engine/timing.html

Also, sometimes you find alot of answers to more complex and simple questions on

Oh, when you say that your boost guage bounces 12-13?, that could be your boost spiking, which is caused by a boost leak. but that typically only happens when you go from 0psi up to full boost, then it will spike up 1-2 psi and go back down to whatever your boost guage is set to.
