Worcester,
I am looking at getting new subs. currently I have (2) old school Boston Acoustics 15's. I have been happy with Boston Acoustics’. My front and rear speakers are both Boston Also. So when it came to looking at new subs of course I looked at Boston's.

I am looking at Boston Acoustics G512. Has anyone used these or know anyone that has them? I read some reviews online they were all good.

I want to get (2) 12's. I don't really understand the correct gauge wire that i should use.

I have a kicker kx600.1 that i bought of a friend. Should i use this at 2 ohms to get 600 watts or should do you guys recommend getting a different amp? Maybe a JL 500/1? I currently use a JL 300/4 for my components

I would look to Image Dynamics IDMax series, Adire Audio's Brahma, Or JL Audio W6-V2 or W7 if you can afford that much. I have never heard the Bostons, but I have heard the others mentioned,(except the Brahma, I am going by word of mouth for that one) all of them are phenominal subs.

i have heard good things about them where i live, so not too many people have them. but hey if it was working good for you i would stick with the name brand, should get a hi watt amp tho 800-1000 for 2 subs tho, just to make sure they are preforming to their peak

the dvc g512 can be wired at 2 ohm or 8 ohm so what gauge wire should i use if i was to use that kicker amp?

Should I just use that kicker amp for now (I already own it) and then get another amp down the line?
