Ok so i have a 95 tsi with a 97 gst motor in it. The 95 talon tsi's had a cam postition sensor on the right side of the motor located behind the cam gear well mine broke and now i cannot find one. Is there any way that i can use the original one thats on the motor. even though i dont have the harness for it is it possible to wire another harness to the original gst cam sensor. Another thing that bothers me about the cam gear is how to i put after market cam gears on cause i dont think the magnet part will bolt up to the aftermarks.

I think i know whats your talking about when you pull the cam sensor off the head theres a small magnet that siths in the slot on the cam and spins witht the cam. If thats it i have an extra you can have for free since i didnt pay anything for it ill pass it on. like i said just leme know whats up. Thanks

Hey mike looked at your pics this is the first 4g63 i have seen running this style sensor.
I have had multiple motors pulled apart and never saw this style. ill look around and see if you able to run the origonal stok cam sensor and if this style sensor will bolt up to a aftermarket cam.
