Can you glue the Crank Position Sensor?

I was replacing the balanceshaft belt... and well I forgot to take off the sensor.. heard a crack. I tried crazy glue to put the 2 pieces together, but that doesn't seem to be working. No spark timing is good.
There doesn't seem to be anything mechanical or electrical in the piece that broke off, or anything inbetween them, except there's a magnet. Anyone have any ideas?
Used cps will go for 40$

I would advise replacement. The magnet is an integral part of the sensor. And if glue doesn't hold say due to heat or vibration, pieces could fly off into the TB and ruin your engine.

Yeah, glue wont hold because of the force of the magnet.

How much did you pick one up for? I think I have one laying around that I could have just sent you....

Wish you would have said that earlier. 40$ for a stupid mistake....
The glue actually held the piece, but i don't think it was even or something... O well.

$40? Christ, if you added a zero to the end of that, you still couldn't get a CAS for a 1Ga. They're asking $450-600 for a new third-party unit to replace the olive-top. So don't cry too hard over forty bucks. :b

I don't suppose you still have that crank sensor layin around do you 99gst_racer? Devilsperm and I have been trying to get my talon started for about 5 months now and we narrowed it down to my crank sesnor. I'd be glad to take that off your hands...
