gs 2.0 dohc,
anyone know where this goes?

Also, oil gauge isn't reading. Oil level is okay. At ignition it moves a little to the right but rests back at the left a few seconds later to stay for the rest of the drive. If i keep the ignition in the 'on' position the gauge shoots all the way to the right and stays there until i start the car. So it seems like the gauge itself works. I checked the oil sensor plug and it's securely on. I may need to clean it though.

shouldnt it connect to the wire that runs to oil pressure gauge sensor, the one facing the front of the car is the oil light, the bigger round one facing down is for the gauge.

yea, i tried to fit that plug into that socket facing the front of the car but it didnt fit.

i can't find the plug that's supposed to go in there. does anyone know what it looks like?

It goes in the connector for the oil pressure gauge which is directly above your arrow in the picture. Right now the oil pressure gauge wire just goes to it's connector which is fastened to the housing but isn't connected to anything.

Cut the damaged connector off and splice/solder those wires to the wires on the other connector. You can even leave the other connector in it's fastener so all the wires will still be held in the same place they originally were.

I'll try the splicing. So everyone's proof positive that this plug is supposed to connect to the black wire? Not to the windshield washer reservoir (which i'm missing btw)? Or should I just not worry and splice it in anyway...
