california smog questions.

ok question is what turbos pass visual inspection??????

i know my b16g passed and evo3 16g passed. but what about 18g's or 20g's. also non mitsu turbos 50trim 56trim 60-1. does anyone know the deal with turbo mods and smog regs?

im not sure the smog guy is really going to be able to question if you changed the turbo. "oh thats all shinney" yeah i polished it up, but its stock. hes gonna know????

i suppose you could get a knowledgeable guy who knows his shit but these guys smog cars all day and unless its got crazy hoses and looks very modded (which a 50 trim can) he might not even know how to tell.

Its not as if he knows to look for the writing.

fyi, I have no experiance smoging with a non stock turbo (yet)
