Buying FMIC one time...what size?

I plan on buying a FMIC in the future and was wondering what size core would I want to get? I am currently running on the T25 but eventually will upgrade to a evo3 B16G. I want an intercooler that pairs well with both. I was eyeballing one large core but the pressure drop was just too much. It wouldn't do anything for my T25.

The only FMIC that will benefit your t-25 is a SMIC mounted in the front. Get a VRSF FMIC, its a good deal.

At the risk of getting flamed. For the EVOIII I recommend CXracing intercooler on ebay I got a huge one that is polished so not only does it look and perform great, but it is only like $100 bucks on Ebay!
I purposefully took out all stickers from the package when I gave it to my tuner and when he was finished with the install he complemented me on it and asked what brand it was...

I really don't think intercoolers are that big a deal until you are making Serious power...

I am still on the list for the group buy. I asked about the pressure drop on the core. This is what I was told..

"Pressure drop varies based on boost pressure and airflow.

The larger the turbo (more airflow) the higher the pressure drop. This intercooler running at 15 psi with a 50 trim sized turbo at about 500hp you can expect about 1.2psi pressure drop."

Can somebody further explain pressure drop? I was under the impression that if I had less air flow due to a smaller turbo and low boost levels, then once the air hit the intercooler core, the air would lose its flow rate due to the large amount of space it expands into. Maybe I was just fed bad knowledge.

Tell him its a SB racing FMIC. I wont be going ebay but I want a FMIC for supporting mods. And FMIC's just look so damn sex! Gotta pick up my car from the shop now. thanks for the info.

I have the CX racing unit as well and their piping. I sold another one I had acquired to a *knowledgeable* buddy of mine and he was impressed by it too. They are pretty decent and cheap. Another option is the SSautochrome kit. I have heard nothing but good things about it. I have no experience with it but just search for it and you'll come up with gobs of reviews. I wouldn't put either one up to cooling a HUGE turbo but a 16g should be no problem for it.
