Well I removed my bumper which was a going alright, since I was following a tech guide and all, but it never mentioned the 2 bolts which you could not see or get to. They were neither in the hanynes or chiltons and I was forced to remove the whole metal bumper reinforcment to get the bumper cover off. So I was wondering if it was really worth putting back on because it was a pain in the ass to take off. It's not going to mount my bumper cover at all anymore. I read up on it here and all I could really find was it may mess up insurance claims. Also that it was only for very minor accidents anyways. So what is it's real value? :)

I would say put it back on. It can trash you radiator support very easy, crack your radiator, and damage other parts up front if you get in even a slow speed accident. Its only held on by 8 bolts so it should be very easy to put back on and another good reason is it gives the bumper cover a mounting point so it doesn't just flap around.

Ahh sorry I didn't specify, I meant the rear bumper. I already know that i'm leaving my front one on for sure. :D

I removed mine when i was changing the liscense plate light bracket. I just did it to shave about 25lbs. and it really isn't needed to mount the bumper cover properly.
If you don't care about the weight savings then why not reinstall it on the car as it's only 4 bolts?

Yeah I guess it'll go back in, just not going to put the inner bumper cover bolts in. Thanks for the responses. :thumb:
