ok, was going to turbo, but looked at my situation, and its jus not feasable, money wise, so im gonna get a junked engine, rebuild, and swap out when ready, and then go show, my question is, would i be able to hit round 200hp all motor, no turbo or nitrous? :dsm:

Hitting 200 is the high benchmark without a turbo or nitrous and you have to spend a LOT of money. That means port and polish the head, intake manifold and throttlebody, stroke the engine to 2.4 with some high compression pistons, upgrade the ignition, exhaust, etc... You can hit 200 a lot easier with a turbo, so long as you dont expect to boost too much. You can pick up a small turbo, with a small intercooler and upgrade the exhaust and you shouldn't have too much trouble as long as you stay low boost. Check out the forums at forums.2gnt.com theres a lot of info on all motor building or turbo building...good luck!

Top to bottom high compression scary loud all motor 420A built to the gills: ~$5,000 (and this is engine only)
Complete HRC Stage 2 system w/ FMIC: $3400
Complete rebuild for high(er) horsepower turbocharging: ~$3000

Your call.

Not for less than $3000. It has yet to be done by anyone. 200hp all motor is a hair away from being a pipe dream. Trust the words of this die hard all motor 2GNTer. Five grand will get you a bottom end and a turbo kit or it will get you mid-to-low 15 second ETs and about 140 to the wheels all motor.

(sigh)

2.135 or whatever is a "2.2" stroker kit displacement. 2.4L is a 420A derivative engine block found in other DCX vehicles. 200hp all motor means a hell of a lot more than what you just said, and I'm honestly scared at the advice you just made about turbocharging a 420A. A "small turbo, with a small intercooler and upgrade the exhaust and you shouldn't have too much trouble?" Wow.
