This car states it has a 6 bolt swap, I'm not that familiar with 2g 6bolt swaps maybe you can look at this picture and give me an idea

I thought when you did a 6 bolt swap you used a can angle sensor ? This is a 95 so I thought they used both cam and crank sensors.. oh well any observations would be nice .. also which starter would you use still same 2g right?

He also says evo 9 turbo, which if I am not mistaken is a twin scroll. So maybe an evo 3, I'd have to look at it for sure.

Your correct thinking this car is probably not a 6bolt swap. It has the plug in the side of the head where you would need the 1g cas for a 6bolt swap. It's also very unlikely the car has an evo9 Turbo. It looks like a 14b/16g type turbo. Even so 3k isn't too bad of a deal if the car is in good shape otherwise. Maybe talk him down by pointing out his mistakes.

Has a 2G intake manifold, 95-96 cam angle sensor....so it has a 2G head. Whether it's a 6-bolt block or not remains to be seen.

Definitely not an Evo IX turbo. Judging by the rest of the "mods" like the completely-stock intercooler piping and intake, I'd be surprised if it was anything bigger than a 14B.

I'm always skeptical of ads like this where they state "all it needs is this $xx part and you're good to go!" Really? Buy a used starter for $20 from anyone doing a partout on here and take 20 minutes of your time or borrow the three sockets you'll need to do the job if you don't have tools in order to get the car running properly if that's truly "all it needs".

Reminds me of a "Mechanics special" I saw on Craigslist a couple days ago. 2000 Civic SI ONLY needs a new motor, BUT WAIT! It comes with a D16! WOW! Oh, and it was ONLY 8,000 dollars with new lime green improperly done paint and rice body kit! I'm sure for 100 bucks more I could have gotten him to throw in the aluminum wing I saw in the back ground.

Anyway, yeah that posting is 100% BS. He lied about pretty much everything else why wouldn't he be lying about "All it needs is a starter".

pull out the spark plugs and if they're white dont buy the car. also you want good compression on the motor 165,165,165,165 at least +- 5. check turbo for shaft play, side to side and in and out. Heck that starter is the easiest thing in the world to install, buy a used one..show up with it, slap it in and start it up before you buy. yo gotta hear the thing running. if you decide not to buy you spent $25 bux but saved yourself $3000. If you can manage a test drive you can also check the clutch and brakes, suspension for weird clunks etc.. clutch replacement will set you back another $750

Just checked it out, rusted through on the strut towers both sides, fuel pressure regulator not hooked up at all, neither was the waste gate , so you would think no waste gate the boost would be crazy high.. didn't even start to see any boost until 4k and even then 1-2 psi , so bad turbo or collossul leak. Radiator had a hole in it. Missing loads of interior pieces Inc headliner . Driver seat broken. Super high idle even after I graciously fixed what.I saw. Then I touched the alternator wire on the battery ans it literally melted my skin so most likely a short or loose/frayed wiring.

I'm all about getting it super cheap and fixing it, but I just couldn't justify it. Just thought I'd update you guys!
