brown stuff in coolant

was adding coolant today, and i noticed some really tiny brown chunks that flew up when i poured it in. they looked like little tiny bits of tunal. Is this normal or should i be worried

Do a compression test just to be sure that its not your head gasket.

When was the last time you had your coolant powerflushed? Now may be a good time.

i saw the same thing in my coolant it kinda looked like sand. sorry to jack the thread.

its been a long time for the flush, so im thinking its just crud in there.

That would be my guess. But a compression test is never a bad idea since its easy to do.
