Hey guys I am in experienced with car alarms and want to know if I have a broken alarm remote can I still start the car ? I have recently put in a new motor and turbo set up but over the time of the build the remote exploded LOL!

So today I was trying to start the car with no remote and I disconnected the black Viper alarm boxes so the alarm would not sound but when I turn the key I get nothing , Power (radio ,fuel pump, gauges ect...), but it does not crank over.

So is this the issue or should or look into something else, Btw I have a new remote on the way....

You need to reconnect your starter wire. There should be either a purple (solenoid side) and green (key side) pair of wires, OR a green and black pair of wires that are serving as the connections for your starter kill relay... Just reconnect them, and it should fire.:thumb:

Yep just find the starter wire and reconnect it, it's a black wire with a red stripe on a 2g and a black wire with yellow stripe on a 1g it is located at the ignition harness.

If you want to leave the alarm on there, and the starter kill still active, then you'll have to check out how to disarm it without a remote... Depending on the brand you might be able to disarm it with the 'valet button'
