thanks again to everyone who helped me out with my previous post regarding my comp 100 cam install...i will be doing the install next week and was wondering if i have to do wnaything to brake them in...in the cams instructions, it says to run it at 2500 rpms for a half houd then change the oil and filter...is this accurate? im paranoid of f-ing up my engine

Yup, that's fine and it's how we broke mine in (I actually ran at 3000 for 30 minutes). Whatever you do, don't let them idle. The oil change immediately afterward is also a great idea. Don't expect a lot of lope with these cams, but you may have some in the beginning, depending on where the idle is which will eventually go away as they seat and wear in.

Have fun busting the cam bolts loose!

what do you mean by "lope"? i thought everyone said they would idle good?

That is what he basically said. At first they might sound "lopey" but once they break in they will idle fine.

Breaking in a cam will roller rockers is pointless. The instructions that say run at 2500 for 1/2 hour are for flat tappet rockers. The cam has to heat cycle to "break in." For rollers, just pop them in and you're ready to go.
