I keep breaking my driver side axle mount bolts in the block. This is happening under normal driving conditions, no launching or even hard accelerating. I also bought grade 10.9 bolts, thats right 10.9 they make them. After the first time this happened my clutch started mysteriously slipping. Is this correlated? I'm hoping so and also hoping someone has an answer to my problem. Please help!

Have you done a motor swap? Reason I ask is because I have a FWD block in my AWD car and the mounting bracket needed to be shaved to clear the block. According to Shep if you don't do this, the bracket won't sit even with the block and cause problems.

Add a few spacers and use a good size length bolt. If you notice when you put it on without spacers it is going at a angle on the block. One side will have to have a tad taller spacer than the other. Also, use loc-tite blue.

Yes i did a motor swap but it was an AWD motor when you say use the AC bracket what do you mean did it bolt on back there because this car was my brother's and he did the swap so i wasn't the one to remove the AC. Also if just using spacers for each bolt, which would be the route i would like to take, how long should each spacer be?

like stated above you want to space it out so the bolts sit flush, but if you dont want to into the trouble, i have an ac bracket i can sell you. For you dont have to mess with washers.

Yea, if the A/C Bracket is not there then thats normally what spaces it, I just used a bunch of washers to space it and it works just fine.
