Vancouver,
Well my car was plagued with a bunch of motor problems when I bought it and now have those fixed (hopefully).

Now its time to get onto some of the other problems ive been having.

The steering wheel pulses back and forth slightly when driving. No matter what the speed it seems. It seems to do it at the same intervals, If im going faster it pulses faster. I can also feel the pulses on the brakes at the same time. When driving below 15mph I can not feel it on the wheel that much just a little but I can still feel it on the brakes until im stopped, If im creeping along very slowely with the brake in partially it feels like the car is applying more pressure at a certain point of rotation. Feels like something is dragging at a certain point.
This has me to eliminate the possiblity of unbalanced tires as this would not happen at low speeds.

Im thinking warped rotors but before I go and order some new ones I would like to see what other possibilities it might be.
Thanks

Sounds like a warped front brake rotor. I'd suggest that you pull the rotors off and have a machine shop check the runout (for warpage).
If you do have a warped one, replace both as a pair (and put new pads on while you've got the rotors off).

Yah, bad rotors I had the same problem.
Also, check your control arms and sway bar links, because mine were damaged as a result of bad rotors.

Well I had a machine shop check for warped rotors and they seem to be fine.
But I figured out the Bearing is shot on the Pass side front axle. I pulled the whole knuckle assembly off and Need to replace the bearing. I could not find anytihng about it on the forums or a how to on the bearing removal but It seems like you have to replace the whole hub? Is it possible to replace the bearing itself or do you have to get a new hub? This is going to be expensive I bet if its the whole hub. Im going to take it to a machine shop and have the hub pressed out tommorow and would like to put a new one in. I also damaged a lower ball joint boot when removing the knuckel. Is this replacable or do you have to replace the whole assembly which I bet is going to be expensive also.

I'm pretty sure that the bearings are sealed and you have to replace the whole hub. It's been awhile since I've done wheel bearings on an Eclipse, but if I remember right, you have to replace the whole hub.

Before you go buying new rotors, check your inner CV joints. I've had one go bad and it feels EXACTLY like what you're getting. It will get worse with time as the grease leaks out, the joint gets damaged, and so on. Mine was intermittant for a while (when I was 'lucky', the vibration would go away for as much as a day or two at a time).

I'd suggest getting a mechanic to toss it on the rack (or drive it over a pit) and check it. Most will do so for free. My local mechanic will replace a front axle for about $100 on a DSM, including the part cost, just to give you an idea on price if that's what it turns out to be. Takes about half an hour, tops.

Thanks but I have checked my axle myself and its fine. It is definatly the bearing. It makes a whirling sound while spining :) I guess i need a new hub

Any shaking/shimmering you are getting without the brakes on may also be that your wheels are knocked out of alignment.
