While doing a normal brake job on my talon tonight, i got the bright idea to check my right rear caliper to make sure it wasn't seized(might be having problems with it), and pressed the brake pedal down to move the piston. Problem is, that the caliper was off the rotor, and the piston moved freely pretty far out. I can't get the piston to retract back so i can put my new pads on it now and finish the car. Can anybody help me with the problem. Yes i know it was a very stupid move on my part.

I had the same problem when I did my first brake job on my Talon. The rear calipers *TWIST* back in. You have to rotate it clockwise to get it in. You can use a wrench, but be careful not to knick the boot.

Credit to whoever told me in the first place :)

I know they twist back in(a very good mechanic also told me that one side twistes reversly, reverse threads, i am not sure on this, but will find out. The problem i have is that i can't twist them, they just won't move!
