Big 2.4 mistake

Hi, well I screwed up on my 2.4 and used the 4G63 cam gears and a 2.0 belt, so how quickly do I need to remove it and change it out ( I have had no knock, but the exhaust cam is retarded a half tooth if retarding is counterclockwise) so should I park it and wait for the 2.4 gears and belt or would it be ok to keep on driving like this? Thanks alot

Unless you get adjustable cams gears.... just wait to get the right parts.

If I remember correctly the timing is different by a half tooth, but I personally would park it and wait for the 64 gears. Is it worth ruining valves, head, or pistons? Not to me. i know there are threads about using 4g63 gears on a 4g64. The search button is your friend. Good Luck

id park it...itll be cheaper in the long run... why waste the money when you can use it for something else?

I'm parking it until I get my adjustable gears and the gatorback belt, I did use the search but couldn't find a definate answer on my question... it was all contradictory so thank you all
