Ok yea yea, venting is :thumbdown ,but ive got a question.
Is venting an aftermarket bov such as the RFL the same as venting your 1g Bov?
I guess im asking if it would still idle and buck and surge and all that mess if the RFL was instaled?
And if it would still idle surge then why would they make a vented bov for our cars? :dsm:

I ran the RFL of my car for about a year. I have not vented the 1st gen BOV that I now have on it but i did try venting the stock 2g BOV. It would barely idle and sometimes die when venting the 2g BOV. It would idle a little lower RPM on the RFL but it would always stay running, unless I revved it way up and then put the clutch in, then it sometimes died. Mine never idle surged with the RFL but all cars are different. And I think they sell it even though it makes out DSM's run not as good for the market of people who buy it for the sound, as it is extremely loud.

Venting is venting, no matter if its 1g,2g, greddy, blitz or what ever. Your still causing the bov to not do its job correctly. :thumb: :talon:
