BOV knowledge needed

Ok, I'm trying to figure out what the real big difference is in with venting to the atmosphere or re-circulation to the intake?

Venting to atmosphere with a stock MAS causes the car to run rich because it expels already metered air out. Recirculating just directs the air back into the intake tract after the MAS so it is neither expelled or remeasured.

With the bov recirculated you will save 1 lb boost, according to my brother.

Exactly what he said and the fact is that unless you have your proper maft setup it just isn't worth it, I've read countless threads on why it's bad. In the end it just makes you run richer.

You would know the answer to this question within five minutes of searching, as it has been covered since day 3 of DSM tuning.

Unless you have a MAF-t in blow-through mode, a MAP or speed density sensor, or just plan to never ever ever lift your foot off the gas pedal, you recirculate. If any of the above applies, then you can vent if you so choose to.
