Hi All,

i had a leak in the thin hose that connects the BOV to the intake, and i had to change it but unfortunately i could not find the same size, i found a slightly bigger one so i fixed it there and i sealed it and i made sure that there is no leak at all. but since then i am losing too much power ? any idea why ? does the size of the hose matters.

i have been running on the new hose now for almost two days and the car is not fast as before?

today i found another hose but this time its smaller ( the hole in the hose is very thin) i managed to fix it after a lot of pressure and sealing and now the car runs very fast even faster than before the Turbo gauge inside the car is reaching to the maximum for the first time?

any idea if i am ok now ? please also explain what does this thin hose do ?

Thanks

Do a boost leak test. That'll help you find all the leaks you have. And when you do one, spray the area you're testing with soapy water so you can "see" the leaks.

Also, do you have anything teed into the bov line? If you do, you'll need to fix this as nothing should be teed in there.

Where is the 'thin' hose located? Either a description to where it is, what it's connected to, etc. or a picture and we can help more.

Welcome to DSMtuners by the way! :thumb:

the thin hose is the one coming from the intake to the BOV its around 35 Cm long .

please tell me what is the exact role of this hose ? any why now my turbo gauge is reaching the maximum , plus the sound of my stock BOV is higher now ? ? i can hear it very clearly now .

any help will be appreciated , as i just want to know if my car will be ok after this hose change or it will bite me in the ASSSSSSSSSSS later on :)

thanks but can you please tell me what is the status of my car now? is it ok ? because the Turbo Gauge is reaching to the maximum now and the car if much stronger ? is it normal like that ? fitting a smaller hose will make me some problems later on ?

thanks to let me know

You will be fine. You should however do yourself a favor and get a boost gauge that way you will know what your car is doing.
