i just bought a 6 bolt head form a member here and he said it was good to bolt and go. i just got it in the mail and it looks like only 2 cylinders are closing all the way. the other valves i can see light threw when looking in them from the intake side. Did i get ripped off and received a bad head?

Thanks

Sounds pretty bad, maybe you could lap the valves and get it worked out. That is if its not like a lot of light.

well i turned the cams and watched and they did suck shut in a certain order and now i think it may be the order they fire in and they dont all close perfectly at the same time. But they all do close.

Can you post a picture so everyone can see what your talking about because without seeing what your describing alot of speculation can occur.

Every head I have ran into does this. Turn the cams a full rotation and watch the Valves. Each of them will seal completely and in a sequence. This is pretty normal from my experience. You have to remember that the cam lobes are Egg-Shaped and only when the lobe is at it's thinnest point with the Valve pull all the way and seal as far as it possibly can.
