I have finally, after about a year, decided to finish my eclipse. Since my engine is already pulled for a leaky head and I already have a set of eagle's laying around I'm going to just do a full build on my bottom end. My question is... Other than simple machine work (possible bore/hone, and decking) do i need to have the machine shop build my bottom end. I have built many motors before and have always had them balanced at the machine shop. I'd really like to save the money and not have the shop assemble my block. Is this possible?

Of course you can build it yourself. Just like any other motor. Get the crank polished too while it's out.
