My friend needs some help figureing out if one of the lines is nessacary and could be giveing his boost guage a false reading becuase it crep to 22 yesterday and that doesnt seem right. I have attached a boot pic if that helps it is the line that is teed off from the wastegate and tapped into a line that is at the intake manifold that goes to a black box that I dont know what it is. LOL Also then he has his boost guage tapped off there.

Yea that didnt help much at all, i dont have a manual boost conty. Can u just tell me if i can eliminate that middle line that comes from the tee at the wastegate and go to the tee at the intake manifold

well here you go then, this is how the boost gauge should be tapped, http://myzero.com/gauges/boost.html hope that helps, but that vacume line elimintion is something to look into, helps reduce boost leaks, and removes some of the bullshit. if you dont have a mbc then you can leave that line off and connect the wg directly to the nipple on the elbow for the turbo outlet. you can connec the same way when you get an mbc. good luck.

Well that is the thing I have a 2g eclipse and a evo turbo at first I used the stock 1st gen j pipe for the install off the compressor housing to my intercooler and on the stock 1g j pipe there was a nipple but on my aftermarket j pipe that i have now there is no nipple so I dont know where to put that line so i just tapped it in up near where my boost guage is tapped in but now i think it is giving my boost guage a bad reading. As u can see by my drawing hopefully LOL there is a line off my wastegate that goes into a tee, then from the tee there is one line that i dont know where it leads to then another line that goes up and is tappend into my intake manifold line. so I dont know if i can just take off the line that is going to my intake manifold line.

well you should have said 2g, if you dont have to pass emmisions i would just remove all the vacume lines, i cant say for sure where all your lines go or whatever, but im willing to bet that the way you have it set up your w/g is not opening at all. that taboo site has the elemination for a 2g also.

like i said if you dont have to pass emmisions do this, http://www.taboospeedshop.com/emissions1.htm if you dont have a mbc yet just leave the line a straight piece of hose, you can get the tee fitting from a hardware store. but if you wana keep it stock with all the vacume lines there is a diagram of that too, i guess you will just have to try to figure out the color of the lines and where they go. good luck and if you have aim hit me up, its alot easyer to talk on there.
