Boost problem. I'm at a loss

Does everybody think I should do another test even though that one didn't show any leaks, visually and audio wise? What else can I check?
Erik, yes you must revisit that leak test, you're no where near completion. In fact, you gave up when you got to the most important and most difficult part of the leak test.

oldman: The car was boosted to 12psi with a visual look and hearing for leaks. It took a little bit to get to 12psi and as soon as I stopped filling the car with air, the boost pressure went down quick.
1. Even at 12psi, you were not able to hold it for a reasonable amount of time which indicates small leaks under 12psi.

2. Your bogging problem doesn't show until after 11psi which indicates that you have huge leaks above 11psi.

Repeat the test until the system is able to hold about 20psi for at least 30 seconds.

ddavisaf: I'm running a catch can. One hose off the one nipple and one hose off the pcv valve. Routed tobgether to a catch can with a breather filter on it. Do I need a straight fitting? Is that my problem?
Yes, you do need a straight fitting. Did you plug the intake manifold hole where the pcv would normally connect to?
Is this your only problem? I don't think so. But it is one that needs to be correctly in order to find the rest.

Ok. I will do that. Sorry for being dumb in this matter, but I guess I'm still learning.

:thumb: We all learn something new everyday.
Plug the intake manifold, replace the pcv with a 1/8 npt straight fitting, then re-do your boost leak test. Let us know what happens. How much psi, and how long it holds it. :thumb:
Okay, now I really am going to the back seat.
