Boost on 1g BOV can handle?

As the title asks... How much boost can an uncrushed stock 1g bov handle before you would need to crush it?

i dont' have to spare cash to buy a better bov and get a flange welded for it, and this is a recently new 1g bov i got because my old one was stuck a little bit open causing a boost leak!

My boost is set at around 15-16psi but creeps badly to 22-23psi and when it does my bov leaks and i start to run rich!
Can a stock uncrushed BOV handle 20+psi??? Or is the BOV no bueno?

i would replace that BOV then. my uncrushed 1g bov has held on 50 psi boost leak tests.

I've been running my stock BOV uncrushed on 18psi for about a year and a half without leaking. 20+ psi is pushing the limits of an uncrushed stock BOV, though. I will be increasing my boost to around 26psi in about a month or so and plan on crushing the stock BOV to hold the additional psi. Hope this helps.

If you dodge mod your BOV it won't leak, and it will still open the way you want it to if you add a control solenoid. If a leaking BOV makes you run rich it's because you have it installed wrong. Recirculate it!

im running blow throw.. recirculating isn't needed but when its leaking its (the bov it a few inches from the gm maf) it mess with the air flow and gives it jacked up readings! Those GM MAF are touchy!!!

Another things is at idle the bov is slightly open and i can feel air flow coming out, this isn't normal correct?? Im just trying to figure out if the bov is crap!

And ill be porting out the wastegate hole to help with the creep for those who might have wanted to comment on that!

No, you shouldn't have anything coming out of the bov at idle.

if you want it to hold more boost. Simply take a socket, and a hammer, and hit it a couple times. I did that with mine and it works great. Just don't be an idiot about it.

I did the Dodge mod and added a Dejon leak stop kit. Now my 1G BOV easily holds 25+ PSI. Before the mods, it would start leaking at about 17-18 PSI.

In reality what is the boost limit for a 1g Bov with the Dodge mod? Ive heard 30 so far but that individual never turned it up any higher.
