Ive just installed a new clutch, tranny, fuel lines, cams and I have a whistling boost leak coming from around my intake manifold area. Ive tightened the couplings, the throttle body has both new gaskets and everythign is tight. Ive re-installed the injectors and still cant get rid of the leak. Any tips greatly appreciated, Havent driven the car in almost a year and its driving me crazy. Thanks

Have you done a boost leak test while spraying soapy water on everything? -If not, then that's probably your best bet at locating the leak. -If not that, then you might get lucky finding it with an automotive stethoscope.

Specifically, I'd check out the intake plenum gasket and the injector insulators on the head.

Good luck

Well i havent boost leak tested yet, but yesterday when the car was running my buddy took stater fluid and sprayed it around and when he sprayed it on the throttle body, idle jumped. So i tightened those nuts and just to be sure i re-installed the injectors. Still whistling. Everything else is tight, but im waiting to borrow my buddys air compressor and then I will test. Does anybody think that the intake manifold gasket could have gone bad?

That could be a possibilty but since our intakes are aluminum they tend to seal pretty good at the head. Before you do a boost leak test just spray around the fuel rail with some brake cleaner (just like you did your tb) and see if your injectors are leaking especially the last by driver's side.

Not the injectors, but the inner throttle body gasket. I beleive Napa sold me the wrong one. I have a 1991 throttle body and when I was looking at it, there is no spot for the BISS screw. I searched and i beleive there is supposed to be a think black line on one side, but is there supppsoed to be a hole i nthe gasket for the BISS screw?
