boost guage can anyone figure this one out

if your familiar with dsm u know that when you turn the key to on to crank your car ur boost gauge goes to 0 mine stays at -14 dont know why tried checking everything but ran out of ideas anybody....................................
 
While cranking? That's how much vacuum the starter's making the engine pull. Press on the gas pedal while cranking and it'll go to zero, but the tach may go to 10 just before the pistons go to Mars.

Are you talking about the factory boost gauge?
