After installing a Prosport boost gauge my taillight/gauge cluster fuse continues to blow every time I try and turn on my lights. If I disconnect the orange wire that makes the gauge switch from white to amber the fuse won't blow. I have the orange wire tapped into the green and white wire at the cig. lighter.

I did that and now that blew right away too, a 15 is supposed to go there and I used a 20.

its only blowing fuses when the gauge light gets hooked up, or the gauge power? if it blows with just the light for the gauge, replace the bulb, and move to say a 30A fuse. If its the gauge power too, use a 40, or just wire it in the right way.
