Okay my car at the time of initial faliure had stock boost control system....Then one day going around a corner my boost just suddenly jumped from 10lbs to like 20lbs. So i thought my boost control solenoid stopped working and malfunctioned so i went ahead and routed aline straight from boost source to to the waste gate acutator sitll no control over boost. so then i went ahead and changed the vaclines dealing with boost control ( avoid a cloged or collapse one ) then changed the waste gate actuator while in the process checked to make sure the flapper arm moved freely which it did and so on. and even checked O2 housings dump tube( atmospheric) for debris blockingit came up empty handed and still no boost control it prevents me from racing the car cuz it willboost till fuel cut which comes in at a magical 5500 grand. it wouldnt bother me if this was atl 7500 but its at 5 grand range LOL. well any Ideas how to solve this problem other than get a manifold and external waste gate( coming in 2 months ) would be greatly apreciated because i have a manual boost controller i just put in 2nd one and i get no results from the car other than fuel cut. the controller is set allthe way out i should be running like 10lbs or less boost with what i have it set at. im confused:confused:

Is the boost pausing at 10psi then slowly creeps up as rpm increases? Did you just install Megan 3" exhaust prior to this problem?

hmmm well dont have the laser any more but its the same car similar set up has the 3 inch car back I know your going in the direction of boost creep. i dont hink it is Im sure it goes directly to 16 17 then cuts some times in higher gears makes it to 20 and the megan exause was on for like 2-3 months before this happened. Like i said I have no control whats ever and have done everything besides take off the housing and visually look at it.but its been like this with the 20 g which is why i blew it boosting like 30lbs accidentally and then now the 4 month old 14b does the same its been like this since id say july or june of last year and been an opn going batter betweens switching turbos wastegates and other boost control related parts. nothing fixes it the only thing common on both setups is the home made O2 eliminator housing that i have was on both the 20g and 14b set up i dont get it. though i got the o2 eliminator to get rid of boost creep in the first place.

Thanks Oldman

Let me get this straight, originally you had boost creep so you fabed up a "home made o2 housing" and and your 20g started having problems soon after. You then swapped in a 14B, it worked for a while and then the problem re-occured which takes us to where we are. If so, I have a couple of questions.

1. Any pics or detail description of this "housing"?

2. How long did both turbos work normally?

3. Apply compressed air directly and make sure the actuator fully extends when they are suppose to.

4. Where are you taking your pressure source for the mbc, which mbc and how is it hooked up? I'm thinking perhaps you have the mbc hooked up incorrectly resulting in all out boost, then when you test run with just pressure to the actuator, your old buddy boost creep came back because you're trying to run too low of pressure.

ill try that this happened in august well after i put the 20g with o2 elminator and 3 inch cat back on the car. it isnt the housingits been on all 6 of my cars that ive had. boost controller is hooked up right cuz im not a noob. and ill try the waste gate thing but this would be the 3rd wastegate actuator i have put in so i doubt that that is it. the o2 eliminator is home fabed form a stock 02 its just a pipe cut out and a block off plate to where the old path wa went so it goes out a 3 inch tube thats hella loud which i do hear the waste gat open up. im still lost . this happened on the stock BC solenoid so im not getting it. what else could it be? Im about to just put the open down pipe onit and call it a day

hey i just realized its boost creep if im in 4th gear or 3rd and doo a pull it shows as boost creap it goes to the 10 i set it at then from ten all the way up till it fule cuts. so Im like HMMM what do i do now since i got the o2 eliminator to get rid of boost creep it creeps to like 15 in first and gets higher every gear. any ideas?
also on a side note i noticed ifi hold the revs still it surges like idles surge but when you just hold the gas at 3k it will go up and down 3k-3200 fluctuating

Boost creep is mainly caused by the inefficient flow design of the wastegate path in the turbine housing, the flow capacity of the o2 housing plays a small role especially if the restriction of the turbine housing remains.

Air filter, fuel filter, boost vacuum leaks, plugs and wires....etc.

Air filter, fuel filter, boost vacuum leaks, plugs and wires....etc. i already went over those like3 times im thinking its the tps but ive went thru that aswell.

So as far as boost creep no point inf ixing it if i plan on getting a new turbo set up with equal length manifold and external waste gate.i shouldnt have a problem then should I

hey in order to save money on the conquest and my ambition to be fast ona 14b what type of bits do i use to port stuff with? cast iron parts , aluminum parts? andcan i run Rx7 550 cc injectors? and whats the part number on those will any set work or do i have to get high impedance or low impedance?

Double cut carbide burrs.

aluminum parts?
Single cut carbide burrs.

I'm not familiar with RX7 injectors.

well what imt hinking is im unsure of what im going to do be tween getting the conquest running and the eclipse so what im gunna do is im planning on porting the spare exhuast housing etc. and getting some rx7 injectorsi believe the 84 are 680 cc because they only have 2 injectors and thats what i read. but Im gunna get some 550 or abovve injectors and get rid of that boost creep and i think that should solve my problem. because its cuttingout bad and it trys to go faster after it cuts its ridiculous. but i just want 15 lbs of boost to deal with. and if that doesnt work ill try a new set up with a externally gated turbo and manifold and all that mess. how do you compensate fro larger injectors do you subtract fuel alittle more or something?

That depends on what you're using to tune. safc and any piggyback systems compensate for larger injectors by lying to the ECU on air flow count from the MAS, less air to be exact.

Also, please use proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation in your future posts, not only your run on sentence is killing me, it's against the site rules as well. :thumb:

ohhh.... Sorry I didnt think it was getting to you oldman. well I have an AFC and this week end Im going to the turbo setup of my choice and getting bigger injectors. Is this better grammar because you have been a great help and hope to accomodate you in anyway possible.

:thumb: Thank you, it's not me being picky, it's just part of my job. We are trying to clean up tech sections to make it as professional and easy to search as possible. Thanks again for complying.
