Ok so I have searched and came up with nothing. I just installed a TD06 turbo in my 2G. I drove it once up and back and ran great. I came home and parked it and ever since then my car has run like crap
1. When I start to drive and build boost it lags horrible and feels like a leak is some where. I checked all my couplings and they're good. But after bumping the throttle it will build boost at about 5,000 rpms.
2. My car has started to run hot. I replaced the thermostat.
3. It idles fine without the air sensor hooked up but i skips when I try to rev it up. After hitting the throttle a couple times it will clear up a little.

I'm checking my plugs tonight hopefully that will fix it. Also could it be injectors doing this. I have a 255 walbro but I believe it has stock injectors. Thanks

What is AFPR I'm new to all this. I'm only running 16LBS. Also I have no tuning device. I have done a leak test. One of my elbows had a hole in it. I'm replacing it as now. The car was giving me problem before this. My turbo outlet is angled toward my block so the elbow was kinked and not free-flowing very good. I changed my plugs. Hopefully this will be my problem. I have blown couplings before and I can't build any boost then. But this time it builds after a while and runs fine in high RPM'S.

You need a AFPR for that Walbro 255. You could be just running rich all the time and fouled up your spark plugs. Also note that you could possibly be knocking, there is such a thing as rich knock. If you really want to know whats going on you should get some sort of logging device if you don't already have one.

Thakns my boost problem is solved but I think I blew the head gasket. Not running hot anymore but pushing water out of the resivor and pushing from under the cap.

Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator. It replaces the stock fuel pressure regulator and allows for adjustment of the fuel pressure. When increasing the size of the pump, the stock FPR is unable to return the proper amount of fuel to the tank when you are at idle / light cruise. It's just too small to handle the extra flow of the pump.

An aftermarket AFPR can handle the added flow from the pump and is also adjustable.

Typically any pump larger than a 190lph FP requires an AFPR.

Filling out your MOD list will help tremendously for someone to base a response off of.

As far as I can tell you just "slapped" on a bigger turbo and fuel pump then "called it a day".

If that's the case.......then that's your problem.

Really, there's a reason this is here...........

And after that.........do a boost leak test.....tune.....log......tune.
