Toronto,
Does anyone here run a Boost adj fuel presure reg?

i know MSD makes one and just wanted to know how good the it is?

here is what they say..

"Boost Adjustable
This Regulator is designed for turbo or supercharged engines. As boost pressure increases, more fuel is required by the engine. This regulator features a boost reference circuit that adds more fuel in relation to boost pressure"

Our cars have FPR's from the factory, a 1:1 ratio, every psi of boost the engine sees, it corrospondingly adds 1psi of fuel pressure. the benefits of buying an aftermarket one is so you can adjust your fuel pressure and keep the FPR from being over run.

I think you are referring to a regulator that will increase fuel beyond the 1:1 ratio. As boost increases the ratio does also so you may hit a 1:4 ratio or along that line. Not needed in my opinion. Most street and even race cars are fine with the 1:1 ratio. i nce had one of the boost regulated FPR's and would hit 90+ PSI!!
60 PSI is usually enough so if you run a 36 psi base and run 22 PSI you have a total prssure of 58 psi. Stock injectors are good for 0 PSI. Aftermarkets are rated higher no doubt. I would stick to the 1:1 as they are much easier to tune.Mark

Sorry to jack your thread, I'm new and don't know how to post a thread yet. Anyways, has anyone used a Command Flow fuel pressure modifier? Its seems to be like a MBC but for fuel.

i believe the term you all are looking for is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. a normal FPR maintains a constant pressure as does an AFPR except you can adjust what constant pressure you want with an AFPR. a rising rate takes the base fuel pressure and adds X psi based on your current boost level multiplied by you rate of rise (1:1, 2:1, 3:1, etc.). vortech makes an RRFPR and they are the only name brand i can think of at the moment.

Poat an addy for a company that sells them so we can see what they are advertised to do. Does not ound like a usual unit used by most DSM'ers.
PS: To post just check out the forum you wish to post on and as you scroll down to the first post in that forum just above that you will see "new post" in the upper right. Click on that. mark

They are crap, only adjust up not down. I have always used an Aeromotive or SX AFPR.
