Bolt sizes?

I thought I saw somewhere list of all bolt sizes for a 2g. I looked through my factory service manual and all I found was torque spec for different sizes and pitches but it doesn't list lengths. Maybe it was posted in one of pdf manual on DSM manual cd? If someone knows, please post. I'd like to order box of each size from Mcmaster so I don't have to go drive to a store every time I need a bolt.

After owning nothing but DSMs for last 5 years i have nice bucket with 20-30lbs of DSM bolts and nuts that all came off of the DSMs i have owned

You can't read, can you? I need the length of the bolts. Besides, sounds like you just listed sizes of sockets you use to remove them. There's no M17 and M19 bolts

I don't want rusted bolts (got plenty of those). I want shiny 10.9 grade bolts

You'll find a wide range of bolt lengths. I would suggest getting bolts that are plated to inhibit corrosion/rust.

What bolts in particular are you looking for?

Underneath the hood I managed to replace almost every bolt with a new one. Not that it was necessary, I have had too many problems with rust welding and snapped off enough bolt heads to give me a complex about the whole thing.

During my obsession I found that many of the OEM bolt lengths were not easily replaced. Most aftermarket bolts I found progressed in length by 5mm. Example; the 6mmx1.25thread drawers at Home Depot, Lowes, Sears Hardware, Napa would have lengths of 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, etc. Some of the OEM bolts fall inbetween these lengths. You also have to compensate for washers if you are going to use them, which I recommend.

In the process I would just measure the OEM bolt lengths, write it down and go shopping. DO NOT USE STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS FOR HIGH TORQUE APPLICATIONS!! The heads will snap off or the bolt will stretch and distort. Which leads to many words spoken that would upset fragile people.

As a added note I managed to drop about 1/2 pound off the weight of the car by not using flat washers underneath the lockwashers. I did not do this on every bolt, only the bolts that would mount things to the chassis. Example; PS reservoir, Emission solenoids, fuse box bracket, etc.

I know there's a wide range of bolt lengths, that's why I'm asking if they are listed somewhere. I want to replace whatever I remove. Most of them are rusted or the head snaps or strips. Closest store with automotive grade bolts is quite a drive, I don't feel like making a trip each time I need something. Now I could order all the bolts Mcmaster sells from M6 - M16 sizes, but that's about $350 worth of stuff (already checked).

What material should be used for high torque then? I thought stainless steel grade 10.9 was good enough for any automotive application.
