You asked for comments, not positive comments ONLY. If you are going to build stuff like that, you need to accept all comments, both positive and negative.

I'm not sure how you can use the "it's a show car" excuse for all of us who don't like it? I've been to plenty of car shows. What kind of people are you trying to impress? I guess that would help me understand why you would do that to a perfectly good car.

A true automotive enthusiast would not look at that car and realize the hours of work or the thousands of dollars spent. You may bash those of us who feel that a nice, tight, clean car with subtle and FUNCTIONAL upgrades are what really makes a good car, but what you've created is pure and simple art work. If you want positive praise on it, go post it in some kind of contemporary art forum. Just don't expect a great deal of praise in an actual automotive forum, especially one that doesn't look highly upon "rice".

what you should do before you post is read the whole thread...i don't care if people say they don't like the car....i don't like the racist comment and the stupid comments...

Positive comments means things like:

I would change the headlights..or

You might want to drop the car.

Negative comments are:

You should beat whoever vandalized your car

Your car looks mexican

and stupid shit like that..those kind of things are uncalled for

sweet ride man, that was the body kit i was going to get, then something happened to my distro. block. to much amps from the audio system, 3200 watts and about 200 amps!

Read the thread? I did! I read every comment before I made my CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, as you requested. I based what I wrote by reading YOUR comments in this thread...

"The body work and interior are done, now I am getting ready to do the engine swap...tell me what you think so far"

We are telling you what we think.

"I AM BUILDING A SHOW CAR...some of you have to understand that some or most show cars are extreme and have to be extreme to stand out."

As in my post above, your excuse to our negative comments has no ground to stand on. We understand you are building a SHOW car, that is why we don't like it.

"Just remember I am not building a tuner car...i am building a show car."

Again...

"Do you actually think you are funny... absolute idiot"

Is this YOUR idea of constructive criticism?

The mexican comment (not made by me, mind you) was not a racist comment. It was a generalization, yes, but not racism. If I paint my house bright pink with yellow trim and Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling, I would have a mexican style home. This is not racism, this is just the style you see from Hispanics. In the Hispanic community, you see a lot of car modifications that include very loud-appearing front bumpers, spoilers, etc. This is not racism, it is a style. Do you not agree that hydrolics that make a car bounce are Mexican? Is it racist to say so? If so, we had all better come up with a new term for "Mexican food".

I'm not trying to hate on you or your car. Some things may take hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to construct, and not hold a candle (to some people) to something that took just a few hours to fine tune and a couple hundred dollars. This is just how it is. I can definitely appreciate the long, hard work and creativity that went into your project. That doesn't mean I personally like it, and you asked for our opinions.

It is not racist to call something mexican. It is a to describe something based on a generalized stereotype. Everyone knows what a mexi ride is. A car with the small wheel so you can drive with hand cuffs on, dangly balls, the virgin of guadelupe(sp?) air freshener, and the La Cookaracha (sp?) horn. JUst because that is a generalized description doesn't make it racist.

OBie20, I don't get why you cry about people saying bad things about your car. Did you come to the interweb to get some sort of feeling of 'acceptance'. Not everyone will agree on the same thing.

A couple things. Take the spoiler completely off, take the mitsubushi symbol off the dash if you can and definetly take the flames off. I think that the angle off the side panel decal would match up better if you took the spoiler off. Other than that, great job with the system, keep that mitsubushi symbol that, that's good.

I just want to say< WOW, superb job.

Your car looks fantastic, i will concur with many that it is not my style, but I really think youve done a great job with the color scheme and setup. I also recommend some black headlights.

Its sad to see so many people trying to tear at your car. I guess everyone has to drive an ugly 1g with 500hp *shrug*

I dont like flashy for myself so I can certainly understand not wanting your OWN car to look that way, but for the love of god give the guy props on his work and maybe some advice and stfu LOL

well im part mexican and im not offended by that comment. i agree its generalization, i make the same ones. i dont like this car. anything about it. im being blunt and to the point. if u are trying to make a show car, u dont need to put a turbo kit on. just put a lot of chrome in there.
