I have never done anything with body work and just needed to know how easily '92,'93, and '94 body parts would switch out with '90 body parts. Im really looking to switch out a front bumper and lights and hood and both front fenders and then the rear bumper also. do these parts just bolt right up to it? if anyone could help me i would appreciate it. thanks

your trying to make your early ( pop up headlights ) 1st gen look like a later 92 and older 1st gen model....? If so you need the hood , headlight housing, headlight wiring and harness, front bumper, corner lights, fenders, and a few extra mounting brackets for that swap I believe.... Not sure if Im missing something.... I dont see why it wont work if thats what your trying to do. Wont be hard if you have all the parts ready and availiable, if you can get them all out a junkyard for cheap then go for it. But youd have to end up painting all these parts to unless you find them the same color as your car.....

actually now that i think about it, I dont know if the chasis part that holds the radiator is different on the pop up version.... Go in a junkyard and compare the two, because it might not have the mounting needed to just throw the newer headlight style in there..... It could be fabbed easily though.

Ohh...I just asisted a buddy do the front conversion to his 91 Talon..
We got the parts from a junkyard....we had problems with taking the front fenders off...they are held by 2 bolts under the car and we snapped all 4 of them on both sides..then those plastic 'bolts' go bad after you remove them, and you can't reuse them.
After we got everything togheter, and double chked every bolt the front end looks sloopy.
Tomorrow we're going thru everything.
Using parts from the junkyard is not cool..not body parts..they all got some defects.
I was going to do the conversion on my 90 GSX...I just changed my mind since I can't afford the new body parts, and I don't want to have it done any other way.
I don't want to discourage you, just to give you a heads up that is not very easy as it sounds to get it done right!
bless
