Hi i have a 96 eclipse.
i bought a bodykit (ait Kit)
off craigslist but it was on a 98 will it still work for mine>?

I'm all for flaming people that want to retard out their car. Its call it being a friend.

Looks are 100% preference. It's not your car so who cares. If you don't like his body kit then don't look at it.

Guys go easy on him. Let him figure out what he wants to do with his ride. Don't jump on him so quickly, because he may get turned off by the reaction of your posts, and BAM! we lose another DSM'er. Think outside the box! Not everyone follows the herd!

Personally I haven't seen any body kits that don't look straight out of the Fast and the Furious. Just because my car is over 10 years old, doesn't mean I want to spend more money styling it to look out of the same decade. There is a pretty interesting thread about the Evo X bumper being put on a 2G. I think it looks pretty sweet from the photoshop picture on the thread. That's about as much as a "body kit" that I will be going with. Clean and stock will always look good no matter what year it is and will appeal to most buyers. That's the way I look at it anyway. Just check out eBay and see what the riced out GSX's are selling for versus the clean and tastefully modified ones. It is a matter of preference, however a DSM can also be an investment.

As for tastefully modifying it I agree with you completely, although as far as being an investment I'd say most people lose money on a car, especially DSM's. You'll never see the money you put into it if you were to sell it, let alone profit.

Tally- Didn't mean to come of as an ass, my bad. your entitled to your opinion just as i am to mine.

weird cause I know you all seen 99gst racer's car...he has a body kit and had a huge spoiler....noone said anything to him because he has his Homemade compound turbo set-up. Whether a car is stock or 400whp....do what YOU want to it, but at the same time, don't half ass anything or you will get flamed. :thumb:
