Hi i have a 96 eclipse.
i bought a bodykit (ait Kit)
off craigslist but it was on a 98 will it still work for mine>?

LOL but will it work that is what im asking??
my car is compelty stock but i love the body kit i got for it but i just wanna know if it will work

just buy some OEM 97-99 headlights for like 80 bucks and it will work perfect, the 2Gb headlights look better anyways

haha, yeah it will work ive put a 99 bumper on with 2ga headlights. It will work temporarily if you need it to. Seriously though a body kit, Shame on you.

I hope it's the blitz kit....
Seeing re-pop's of the fast and furious are always good for a laugh or two.ROFL

I thought this exact thing, word for word.

scrolled down to post and you beat me.

LOL...i just dont understand...
"your so rice...my lambos are cool"

did he even get the REAL lambos, or the 300 dollar ones that try to cut your head off.

if the OP wants to put a kit on his car...let him do it. I'll be honest, I have a kit on my car. granted my car also puts 356 to the ground. I think i could use a few appearance mods.

I guess I don't really have a problem with body kits either if they match the car's styling or look somewhat OEM, but let's not further the stereotype that 4 banger's are nothing more than rice burners that look ridiculous and get raped by stock Mustang GT's. DO SOME PERFORMANCE MODS to go along with the appearance or you'll wind up racing a souped up Geo and looking stupid :thumb:.

to each their own seriously guys .. you all rag on people with kits and shit . It's not your car.. let him do with it as he pleases no sense in flamming someone for wanting a kit .and I know you are all going to flame me for my "wing" but whatever I put money into performance and some exterior pieces so whatever

Yea but you ACTUALLY do have performance mods.

So ? maybe he wants his car to look good and not make it any faster than it may already be maybe he doesn't want to race people , maybe he likes to just cruise . theres a HUGE difference in RICER and someone that likes a body kit on their car.. everyone just throws the word ricer so freely now adays its pathetic .. RICER's put body kits on their cars and neons and all this and that when its slow .. sure BUT they also try to act badass and race after . For all we know this kid can just cruise around and not race anyone or act tough. He is an enthusiest in my book so long as after the body kit goes on he doesn't act like his car is the fastest thing on the road .. And on the subject yes the kid should bolt right up , depending you may have to drill your own holes and if you have a front mount or ever get one you might have to shave / trim the bumper to make it workso my advice is if you plan on getting a front mount , given the car is turbo , then don't paint the bumper until after you fit it to the front mount otherwise it's a pain in the ass

I completely agree, I'm not a huge fan of body kits but why does everyone have to flame people the second the mention they are putting something on their car that doesn't make it go faster or handle better.
No where does it say that every DSM owner must modify the preformance of the car. If you don't like what other people are doing to THEIR car then thats fine, they are the ones driving it, not you.

exactly thank you guys geez LOL people always know who I am when they see my car they aren't like " hey who has the stock black eclipse ... which one .. ? " nope they can definately tell who I am :p

You have to be tasteful with the kit as well. there are a lot of ill fitting kits with ill fitting wheels, and bad paint jobs, or just slapping a kit on anything that give kits a bad rap.
