Im tryin to figure out what looks better on a 1g dsm slamming it or puttin a ody kit on it.........all pics of dsms with bodykits or slammed cars are appeciated

oh man, i can tell where this thread is gonna go already....
(those who read the vehicle info will be able to tell how bad it'll get)

I prefer lowered to the existing kits. I wouldn't be "slamming" it either. When I think of slamming, i think of the bottom of the car pretty much dragging on the ground. A reasonable lowering will do fine. (1.8") Ho much handling do you want to give up? You can definitely lower it too much.

I give this 3 days... getting out of control..... Defiant says something very characteristically Defiant and the thread is closed.

Browse through the gallery, there's plenty of 1gs that are lowered and kitted.
Here's some pics for ya, though
I lik ethe sideskirts on this first one, I love the white one (another pic of it is currently my work desktop), they're all members on here.

Body kits and slammed arnt my style. Lowered with some sweet rims look awesome. But not stock LOL, you need to add another choice to your poll.

don't slam it, don't put a kit on it. Leave the body style stock on a 1g and lover it 2 inches with a nice set of wheels and you'll be set :thumb: . And just so you know you'll be getting alot of the same responses on this board.

whos dsm is the one in the middle, with the 3 spoke rims, i cant seem to find it in the gallery?

well slamming it is just what i call it doesnt mean it has to scrape the ground it can be lowered 1 or 2 inches or 3 or 4 :D oh yea i also like the white one it looks good im startin to think white is a better color than black for my 1g

before anything, lower the car to a desired height. then get desired rims. after that, body kit if youre not happy with the results. thats what im doing before i get a body kit, if i ever decide to get one, because i dont really like the look of having a body kit with a 3" wheel gap like you see most cars that have body kits, because their car cant be lowered because of the kit.

Well, i have seen a couple 1st gens around with 3 different ways to go....as said before , slight drop on nice 18s do look good on those cars, i have seen bottom scrapers( takes them about 5 mins to pull into a slight inclined parking lot... :boring: ) and they look good too other than their scraping the ground alot....and the body kit on them are so-so around here but seen some nice work online....

i have a 2nd gen that is a bottom scraper with coil overs, but ill be coverting to lowering springs soon due to suspension problems its caused and my oil pan has some nice scrapes :notgood: , i got a set of free 95-96 five factory 16s off a friend(had good tread left on them) , painted them black and threw them on...you can see it in my gallery....

the best thing i can tell you is if you lower it, forget the body kit unless you have the fundings for an air ride system, but don't lower it to the ground or you'll have created more probelms....hope this helps in anyway ... :dsm: :talon: :laser:

Wow. Who is the owner of that white bodied 1g. That is qutie possibly the nicest lokking 1st gen I have ever seen! Could I get the member name of the owner? I would like to see some more pics of that DSM.
