Alright so ive had some weird electrical problems with the talon. Ive always had these problems but now im feeling motivated to fix them. Plus i think some of my other problems are connected to the electrical issues.

The first issue is my dash lights, even when my regular lights arent on then like pulse on a off. Its actually pretty creepy, they will slowly just pulse on and off.

My other issue is my wideband. I have an AEM wideband and the power and ground are tapped to the ecu, when i first start the car the wideband will turn on and warm up then read fine, but it will randomly like restart. It will like shut off then the gauge reads like "P00" or something like that.

And then my final issue is, the car itself. Today I had to go to the dmv to pic up plates for my eclipse. I noticed that on my way there the wideband would do that weird restarting thing more than it would normally. I got my plates then left the dmv and drove home. I couldnt help my self and I did a 3rd gear pull on a street near my house, and this is where everything went weird. I got done with the pull and cruised to a light once i stopped at the light my idle immediately started to surge, it acted like my throttle cable was too tight. (in between shifts it would rev up) so i was like well lets drive it home and see what happens. Well i got close to my house and had to stop and a light and then the car died. and refused to idle, it ran a little rough as well. The car will not idle at all it will fire up then die immediately if i give it gas it will stay running. There is no smoke, i checked the compression its good, 165 across the board.

so im leaning towards some kind of electrical issue, but im not sure.

It sounds like you may be experiencing some power surges, possibly from your battery or your alternator. Did any of your other lights pulse (ie. Headlights, cabin lights, etc.)? Have you checked the load reading of your battery on a multimeter? It may be a good idea to take off your alternator and swing by a shop and have it bench tested (Auto Zone and Advanced Auto Parts do it for free I think). Is the pulse consistent, or is it random? If it's random, it's more likely a bad ground, otherwise I'd say your alt. or batt. are going bad.

As for your idle surge, did you notice if there was any sound when you made your pull? Like a loud popping sound? This used to happen to me a lot; it was almost always the IC piping coming loose. Make sure you check all the piping from top to bottom. If this is the issue, one way to resolve is by beading the ends of your piping. I however, just sprayed the pipes with hair spray before putting them back together, and it's worked ever since.

dimming dash lights: bad alternator (most likely) but may also be a bad battery.

wideband turning on/off: bad ground/power source (most likely). check the wiring. what I did with my wideband is I spliced it with the cigarette lighter plug (its the white plug)

the dying issue: bad battery/alternator. if you have a multimeter, voltmeter, turbotimer, afc, etc that can measure voltage, try this: turn the accessories on in the car. if it dies slowly, then you atleast know your battery is fine (which I highly doubt). if it drains quick, then you know your battery is toast. i recommend a battery with atleast 660 cca. replace the battery then try running the car again. as for the car idling weird, it maybe a boost leak, spark plugs, a large variety of things.

bottom line: replace the battery. this will also tell you if the alternator is bad (which i believe it is) check the wideband wiring.
